Lydia and Chris are the kind of couple who stand out effortlessly. With Lydia’s fashion-forward vibe and Chris’ background in music, their wedding day was bound to be unforgettable. Style & music are so important in creating an amazing vibe on your wedding day, so I knew I was in for a treat with these guys! Lydia, a podcast host with a flair for fashion and Chris who brings an effortlessly cool vibe were such a joy to work with.
Their wedding day at Finca Son Berga was a true reflection of their personalities—sophisticated, relaxed, stylish and full of fun.
The DresS: by The Own Studio
When it came to her wedding dress, of course Lydia did not disappoint. She worked on a stunning design with The Own Studio, which was the perfect mix of modern and classic. This fabric draped over her like liquid and was just perfect on her. Clean lines & a super chic cut. Lydia’s natural makeup and sleek hair was done by the talented Created by Megan.
The Details: Personal Touches
From the table settings to the personalized photo touches, every element felt incredibly thoughtful. The wedding had a luxe yet relaxed vibe. The floral arrangements by Flowerscene were lush and elegant, whilst blending seamlessly with the rustic charm of Finca Son Berga. The couple’s close friend conducted their ceremony, making it feel intimate and familiar. The catering, provided by the talented Marc Fosh Catering, offered a mouthwatering selection of locally sourced, seasonal dishes which as always, wowed the guests.
The Shoot: Capturing the Magical light of ALARO
Working in Mallorca as a Wedding Photographer, I am lucky enough to shoot in some of the most breathtaking locations in the world, and Finca Son Berga is truly one of the best. This venue offers an incredible mix of rustic charm and refined beauty, making it the perfect backdrop for Lydia and Chris’ wedding day. Eli & her team truly go above and beyond for each and every couple they host here, their energy and passion for each event they throw is palpable and really makes each Son Berga wedding feel unique and special.
For their couples shoot, we explored the grounds of the Finca, capturing candid moments and some posed portraits. Lydia and Chris were an absolute dream to photograph, exuding effortless style and authenticity. On video this day was DK Wedding Film (Dato and Orsi) who shoot luxury weddings all over Europe and were so inspiring and easy to work.
Couples often ask me what my shooting style is like, ‘will we have to pose?’ ‘do you take candids?’ and to be honest there’s no definitive answer to this. My style is generally dictated by the couple, I’m very good at reading a room and seeing where the shoot should naturally takes us. Some couples want posing and lots of direction, where others just want a quiet moment alone away from their guests and for me to shoot candidly. This is why no two weddings of mine are the same, you bring your own magic and I simply capture it. It’s my job to create a wedding story unique and special to you.
GROUP SHOT FUN
Party Time: Celebrating in Style
When the groom is a world renowned DJ, you can be sure the party is going to be epic. As the sun set over Alaro, the atmosphere turned even more electric. It was clear that Lydia and Chris had surrounded themselves with people who shared their love of music, style, and celebration. For me, when the flash goes on I know it means all of the ‘must have photos’ boxes are ticked for the day, family shots are done, sunset is done and now it’s time to capture the craziness, get creative have some fun! This amazing day ended with an unforgettable party, and as a wedding photographer, there’s no better feeling than knowing I got to capture every moment of it for them. Thank you Lydia and Chirs, I won’t forget this day!
